MIA…
A very quick hello from Sheffield as well as an apology; I know I was supposed to be at base camp in Scarborough for all of Thursday and most of Friday, but the pull of another chance to see Mandy on the big screen was just too strong. Whilst I did all the last minute frontpage edits I could, bogging off a good twenty four hours before I said I would wasn’t really cricket and to those who missed out earlier today, I’m sorry. It was the Cage Rage.
I will be back as planned on Monday lunchtime and everything else will be textbook – promise! I will be considerably less profligate with the cinema visits for the next few months despite having been thrilled to find the lovely Curzon Sheffield and catch Dogman earlier on, which I missed in London and was very happy to kill time with before my (original) 3pm check in rolled round. I reckon I’ve done in about the price of a city break just on film tickets and festival passes in under a month, and I still had to pay for the accompanying city breaks.
I’ve seen the film which will be starting in around a minute (or more realistically by CS standards at around quarter to seven, once everybody has finished wandering about and settled down nicely) so I’m putting my feet up for a couple of hours and getting some dinner on the go. My phone is now off (as anybody who has tried to call knows already), but it and I will be switched back to business as usual in a couple of days and I’ll check texts and emails intermittently in the meantime.
More soon. On with the weekend!
