47 days and counting…
Hallowe’en and Bonfire Night are out of the way, and since this means we can now legitimately start looking forward to Christmas I have today celebrated, by getting started on the first of many mince pies and organising my appointment times over the festive period – anyone who was planning a visit, do read on!
I have also started the food shopping plans in earnest and ordered the tree (from here; I may as well give the place a plug since for the last three years they have brought the most beautiful trees although visitors from 2008 may remember the Trafalgar Square-esque spectacle the first year I moved to the apartment, where I had no carpet, little furniture but an (easily) nine foot tree that would have done an entry-level stately home proud). The giant tree (I believe it was a Norway Spruce) truly was a stunner and I have a picture of it somewhere, but living amongst it was not exactly practical, and this year we will be plumping for another headily fragrant, lovely and non-shedding fir tree of a more sensible 6-7 foot-ish.
The availability/Awaydays section of the About Amy page will be updated soon, but as a few well-organised souls have started asking, the current plan is that I will be back from That London on Thursday 16th of December, will more than likely have the weekend off (talk me out of it if you can!) and return fighting fit for incalls on Monday 20th December, probably until mid afternoon Christmas Eve. I am unlikely to be taking any bookings in the evening that week, although notice is (as usual) key and you never know – outcalls will be dependent entirely on weather conditions, but since I ordinarily take maybe one every other month, I don’t envisage this posing too much of a problem, if I’m honest.
I will be at home, available and in festive mood in sunny (fingers crossed) Scarborough throughout the following week from Tuesday 27th on, and also over the New Year for advance bookings ONLY. Leftovers, turkey sandwiches and (in the spirit of the much overused term GFE) arguing over the TV remote will be available throughout for all those who desire it. To the gentlemen reading from afar, my travel plans for 2011 are still in the embryonic stages and have not been thought much about yet, but suffice to say at least one transcontinental flight is in the offing. Plus the one back, obviously. Details on the way!
Update over – time for gym, swim and back to packing for Scotland. Proper report from the frozen (even further) North to follow…
